The molecule of the title compound, C22H15NO2S, is built up from a benzothiophene system linked to an isoxazoline ring which is connected to two phenyl rings. The benzothiophene system is essentially planar, while the isoxazoline ring displays an envelope conformation with the spiro C atom as the flap. The mean plane through the isoxazoline ring is slightly inclined to one phenyl ring by 5.74 (13)° and is approximately perpendicular [86.10 (10)°] to the fused ring system and to the other phenyl ring [84.31 (12)°]. In the crystal, molecules are linked together by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by π–π interactions between the fused ring systems [intercentroid distance = 3.702 (2) Å], forming a three-dimensional network.

Due to their sustainability and availability, solar thermal collectors are frequently employed to heat homes. This technique has the advantage of being non-polluting and efficient. The poor thermal efficiency of classic solar air heaters is caused by the low convective heat transfer coefficient between the absorber plate and the circulating fluid. The aim of this research is to determine the optimal configuration of flow disruptors - including their shape, size and distribution - in order to streamline the efficiency of the solar collector while maintaining affordable costs.

Those mean that prey can survive without the presence of predators, but a strong Allee effect can lead to prey extinction if the population size is very small.
In this article, we develop a predator-prey model with Allee effect and prey group defense. The model has three equilibrium points i.e. the trivial point, the predator extinction point, and the coexistence point. All equilibrium points are locally asymptotically stable under certain conditions. The Allee effect in this model influences the stability of the equilibrium point. If the Allee effect is weak, then the trivial equilibrium point is unstable. Meanwhile, if the Allee effect is strong, then the trivial equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable. Those mean that a strong Allee effect can lead to the extinction of both populations. Moreover, under weak Allee condition, forward bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation occur at the predator extinction equilibrium point. Meanwhile, a strong Allee effect may induce bistability at both the trivial equilibrium point and the predator extinction equilibrium point. Those mean that prey can survive without the presence of predators, but a strong Allee effect can lead to prey extinction if the population size is very small. To support our analytical findings, we perform some numerical simulations in the final section.

Recently, renewable energies have attracted the significant attention of scientists. Nanofluids are fluids carrying nano-sized particles dispersed in base fluids. The improved heat transfer by nanofluids has been used in several heat-transfer applications. Nanofluids' stability is very essential to keep their thermophysical properties over a long period of time after their production. Therefore, a global approach including stability and thermophysical properties is necessary to achieve the synthesis of nanofluids with exceptional thermal properties. In this context, the objective of this paper is to summarize current advances in the study of nanofluids, such as manufacturing procedures, the mechanism of stability assessment, stability enhancement procedures, thermophysical properties, and characterization of nanofluids. Also, the factors influencing thermophysical properties were studied. In conclusion, we discuss the application of nanofluids in solar collectors.
